There are two ways to apply for a course. You can select a course from the library or add a new course.

Apply for a course from the library

The simplest way to apply for a course is by selecting it from the library.

  1. From the library, select a course you wish to take.
  2. Click Apply Now.

    Note

If the button is labeled Open Application, then you have already undertaken the course.

  3. Apply for this Course form opens.

    Note

Most of the course details have been filled and are not editable. If you wish to change the course, you can click in the right side of the course title to clear the course details, or you can click Cancel in the top left.

  4. If you're applying for L&D, you are required to set whether the course is for development in Current or Future role.
  5. Set the time allocation of when you plan to take the course - during Work Time or Own Time.
  6. Complete the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) form.
  7. Once you're done, click Submit in the bottom of the form. You can also click the action button in the top right and select Submit.

Add a new course

You can add a course that is not yet in the library. This will be reviewed by your administrator before it goes through pre-training approval. As such, please take the time to provide as much detail about the course as you can.

  1. Click    in top left of the training screen.
  2. Select the course type - Learning & Development or Community Engagement.
  3. Add New Course form opens.
  4. If you're adding a L&D course, set whether the course is for development in Current or Future role.
  5. Fill out the course details.

    Note

As you type the course title, similar courses from the library are autosuggested. Selecting from this list is the same as applying for a course from the library. That is, the course details are automatically populated.

  6. Complete the CPD form.
  7. Click Submit in the bottom of the form. You can also click the action button in the top right and select Submit. Once submitted, your application status changes to Awaiting Admin Approval.
  8. Or, you can save your application form as a draft.

Draft Courses

If you saved as a draft, this course is added to your draft courses. To view your draft courses

  1. Navigate to Training and click See All from any of the sections.
  2. Click Draft tab.
