If you’ve forgotten the password you use to sign in to your Toolkit, you can reset it easily at any time.
Valid password format
The password you choose must have at least:
- 8 or more characters
- uppercase character
- lowercase character
- one number (0 through 9)
- one symbol ~!@#$%^&*_-+=`|\(){}[]:;"'<>,.?/
Reset your password
Depending on whether or not you're signed in to the Toolkit, there are two ways to reset your password.
Signed out of the Toolkit
- From the sign in screen, click Reset Password below the Sign in button.
- Enter your email address. Make sure it's your registered BUK email.
- Click Submit.
- Check your email inbox for a new message "Reset Password" from buklandd@bukeetoolkit.co.uk
- In the password reset email, click the link.
Password reset link
This link is valid only for 24 hours. You cannot submit another password request while this link is valid.
- You will be redirected to another site api.bukeetoolkit.co.uk.
Enter your new password, and re-type your new password for confirmation.
- Click Reset.
Having trouble?
If you've followed the steps above, but have yet to receive a password reset email, please check all tabs, folders, and spam filters in your inbox.
Signed in to the Toolkit
If you know your password, but want to change or update it:
- Click or tap your name from the sidebar.
This will open your Profile.
- Click or tap in the right-hand of the top navigation bar.
- Click Reset Password.
- In the Reset Password pop-up, enter your new password, and re-type your new password for confirmation.
- Click or tap Submit in the top right.
- From your dashboard, tap in the top-left to open the left sidebar menu.
- Tap your name in the top left.This will open your Profile.
- Tapin the right-hand of the top navigation bar.
- Tap Reset Password.
- In the Reset Password pop-up, enter your new password, and re-type your new password for confirmation.
- Tap Submit in the top right.
Troubleshooting
If you see an error message telling you that your email and password don't match, it usually means one of two things:
- There's a mistake in your email address. It could be a typo, or the wrong email address. Double-check that it's the correct email and that there are no spaces before or after your email.
- There's a mistake in your password. Make sure that you have entered your password correctly and that there are no spaces before or after your password.
- Still having difficulty signing in? Contact your administrator.
