A role is a collection of capabilities with predefined permissions, or privileges, assigned to it. Roles assigned to you determine the access that you have in sections of the Toolkit as well as the features and functionality that you can use.


  Where can I see my roles?

You can see the roles assigned to you in your Profile.

  1. Click your name in the top of the sidebar menu.

    This will open your Profile.
  2. From your profile, roles assigned to you are shown in the header section, below your profile info.


Roles and Privileges


Here's what each user role can do:


General Staff

This role defines the basic access for an employee. By default, all employees are assigned as General Staff to gain access to My Performance section of the Toolkit.

  • View your real-time achievement against levels B, C, D and CE.
News Feed
  • View company-wide announcements made by your administrator.
Training
Consolidated view of learning and development resources, including:
  • Access the Library to view courses and activities recommended to you
  • Save those you are interested in taking for a shortlisted list
  • Apply for your continuous professional development and await for approval
  • Record completed hours or mark them as unfinished for your sponsoring officer's action
  • Rate the course to help your colleagues make better choices
  • Submit the required post-training review.
Appraisal
All-in-one place for your appraisals - both signed off and active records, including ability to download or print for future reference.
Files
Access company-related documents, including policies and related documents that require your consent, training certificates and signed off appraisals.
Org ChartView your organisation in an interactive chart and see where you all fit in.
Line Manager

Is an employee who directly manages employee(s) and who is hierarchically one level above her/his direct report(s). A line manager has access to My Tasks section of the Toolkit.

Training Approvals
Pre-training approvals
  • Approve or reject L&D applications. Approved applications are submitted to the Learning & Development Officer for budget approval.
Post-training approvals
  • Evaluate knowledge and skills learned and identify how these contribute to learner's professional development by adding an integration plan.
  • Determine and recommend 3-month review (for level C) and 3-month and 6-month review (for level D).
Unfinished training
  • Review L&D courses marked as Unfinished and recommend whether to award the full course duration, completed hours only or not award any hours.
Colleague Appraisals
Conduct direct report's appraisal, specifically:
  • commence colleague appraisal in line manager review;
  • conduct appraisal meeting;
  • sign off colleague appraisal;
  • recommend interim appraisal, as applicable;
  • recommend qualified colleague for Excellence (level E), as applicable.

  • Job containing job-related details*
  • Compensation containing historical salary information*
  • Training with all L&D courses undertaken in the current fiscal year**

Learning & Development Officer

Is the final approver of all pre-training L&D applications. A L&D Officer has access to My Tasks section of the Toolkit.
