You may need to clear your web browser's cache, cookies, and history periodically in order to prevent or resolve performance problems, and to ensure you are using the latest version of the application. For example, Toolkit updates may not be automatically visible or some pages are not displaying correctly.


IMPORTANT

Clearing your web browser's cache, cookies, and history may remove data such as the following:

  • Saved passwords

  • Address bar predictions (e.g., Chrome, Firefox)


Chrome

  1. On your browser toolbar, click MoreMore and then More Tools and then Clear Browsing Data.

  2. In the 'Clear browsing data' box, set the Time Range to Last Hour to set the amount of data that you want to delete.

  3. Select the tickboxes for Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.

  4. Click Clear data.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Select Hub  > History .

  2. Select Clear all history.

  3. Choose the types of data you want to remove from your PC, then select Clear.

  4. If you use Cortana and want to clear browsing history that's stored in the cloud, select Change what Microsoft Edge knows about me in the cloud, then select Clear browsing history.

Apple Safari

  1. Choose History > Clear History

  2. In the pop-up menu, choose how far back you want your browsing history cleared. Select The Last Hour

  3. Click Clear History.

  1. Click the menu button Fx57Menu and choose Preferences.

  2. Select the Privacy & Security panel.

  3. In the Cached Web Content section, click Clear Now.
